AutoSMS is designed as an offline-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers. However, for the app to function securely and effectively, we require access to specific Android permissions:
- Send SMS (SEND_SMS): Used solely to send the text messages you have explicitly scheduled. We do not send messages without your configuration.
- Contact Selection: We do not request the broad READ_CONTACTS permission. Instead, we use the Android system picker to allow you to choose a specific recipient. This ensures we only access the contact information you explicitly select for scheduling purposes.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to alert you when a scheduled message has been successfully sent or if a delivery failure occurred.
- Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to ensure your messages are sent at the precise time you requested, even if your device is in Doze mode.
2. Data Storage
All data created within AutoSMS, including your scheduled messages, message history, and recipient details, is stored locally on your device in a secure database.
If you uninstall the application, this local data is permanently deleted from your device. We do not maintain backups of your personal data.
3. Third-Party Access
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs or tracking tools.
4. Children’s Privacy
AutoSMS does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Since our application does not transmit data to servers, we do not possess any data regarding our users' ages.
5. Beta Testing Program
Any information provided by testers, including feedback and contact details, is strictly confidential. Tester information and feedback will not be distributed, sold, or shared with third parties. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our testers.
